1) Reducing the extra overhead: the extra overhead includes automatic updates of windows and anti-virus software; reduces communication overhead;
2) Directed data transmission: provides flexible management strategies aiming at users, for example stipulating that the maritime terminals are only allowed to access the company website or webmail system; reduces the corporation communication cost by controlling the traffic unrelated to work;
3) Simplifying administrative management with technology: limits the usage of maritime broadband terminals with access control, therefore makes the communication equipment management more scientific and reasonable;
4) Superior access control gateway: the gateway is deployed at the throat position of the maritime broadband land access network, and performs efficient network control; it adopts the world’s top control module and features failure protection function, therefore has no effect on normal communications;
5) Group control deployment: able to implement control on a particular maritime broadband terminal or implement multiple control plans on a group of maritime broadband terminals.
Whitelist filtering:
1) Maritime broadband terminals are only allowed to visit appointed websites or hosts, and are forbidden to visit other websites or host; the whitelist filtering can be configured basing on domain names or IP addresses;
2) Maritime broadband terminals are only allowed to perform appointed communication protocols, and other types of communication are forbidden; the whitelist filtering can be configured basing on protocol types;
3) The filtering conditions mentioned above can be added to each other or combined together. (For example, a particular maritime broadband terminal can be set only to be allowed to visit news.sina.com.cn, and to perform e-mail communication.)

Blacklist filtering:
1) Maritime broadband terminals can visit all the websites and hosts other than those on the blacklist; the blacklist filtering can be configured basing on domain names or IP addresses;
2) Maritime broadband terminals can perform all communication protocols other than those on the blacklist; the blacklist filtering can be configured basing on protocol types;
3) The filtering conditions mentioned above can be added to each other or combined together. (For example, a particular maritime broadband terminal can be set to be allowed to use all kinds of software other than QQ.)
